Remote Assistance

Hey everybody! I don't know if its from sleep deprivation last night or what but I am yet truly amazed at the power of technology. My boyfriend introduced me to remote assistance tonight. Does anyone know what that is or am I just behind the technology time? My mind is still boggled, yet intrigued, all at once. Of what I gathered you can go into someone elses's desktop and do stuff (or like Alec mentioned "assist another computer user from a distance"). Its really weird! From my computer I was actually be on his desktop also, where I could have conversations with his friends, change his tunes, go through stuff of his. Although it did lag somewhat, it is interesting to be able to jump from desktop to desktop if needed at a click of a button. Maybe technology can be beneficial especially something like that when you have no clue what's going on and you need help asap!
